What is a marquee?

Marquees are large luxury tents used for outdoor events, weddings, parties and other social occasions. Typically, a marquee provides dining, seating, mingling or auditorium space. They differ from gazebos in size and quality. Gazebos are small, lightweight structures designed to provide sun or weather protection. Marquees are scalable, commercial structures with walls to shelter guests.
